About the company
The company has a strong intellectual property portfolio on differentiated cellular agriculture technology. The patented technology is different from what exists in the alt protein market currently, is de-risked, and is ready for scale-up and deployment.
The startup is seeking an entrepreneurial, dedicated CEO to lead a cutting-edge cellular agriculture food technology startup into growth and commercialization stages. This person will develop the company’s vision and business strategy and will play a pivotal role in hiring the company’s leadership team.
Desired Qualifications
- MBA from a top university and/or a degree in Chemical Engineering, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Biomedical Engineering, or something similar.
- Entrepreneurial/ Founder experience.
- Management consulting expertise with a focus on the food and/or biotech industry.
- Experience in the food and/or biotech industry, with time in a senior leadership role.
- Experience filing for a patent or contributing to intellectual property (in university or otherwise).
- Experience in a company that worked on scaling up commercialized cell culture/fermentation technology products.
- Direct or indirect experience spinning out a technology company from an academic lab; or intellectual property strategy more broadly.
